Bombalurina on Artfire

I've placed some of my Valentine's Day collection up on Artfire. I'm curious about this new venue - it has a lot of seller friendly features that I really like, and there are a lot of etsy people defecting in varyinf degrees. Myself, I am not ready to defect, but diversify.

Diversification is one of those pesky 2009 goals of mine.

Anyhow, Artfire integrates Google payments as well as paypal, so for those of you/us who use paypal through gritted teeth it's super-nice to have the other option.

I just have a few pieces up, but I'll be adding more in the days ahead. It's a relatively new venue, but a lot less buggy than some other Beta things I've tested out with (uh mintd) and for anyone who has etsy issues, it's simply nice to offer an alternative. So, with that said:

Oh, apparently it's better in Firefox, but everything is better in Firefox. Or not-IE.

Other than that I'm doing some sitebuilding, fairly simple. My coding is decent enough for a business card site, but once you get into ecommerce I start to lose my limited attention span.

It's for a very sweaty manly super butch gym, so it's really nice yin to balance all this pink and girly yang that IS my life. Whew.

Re-design

I couldn't take it anymore - it was really bugging me. I've face-lifted it now to the point where I'm happy pointing people there. I've got my own art on it, it's not horribly terribly boxy and old-school looking, and if/when I get to the point of a stronger cart than bigcartel I can integrate, I imagine.

The kicker is that now, I've actually got a few people asking me to do web work for them. And it's a killer yearend now, between the Craftaculars in madison AND NYC, respectively. No blood relation between the Madison and BUST ones, it's just kinda funny.

I'm really looking forward to going to Madison. It's one of my favorite places. I'm not as elated about NYC yet, it's really feeling more like a giant stressful schlep at this point, and probably will continue to feel like one till I've counted the last buck from the show and put the last doo-dad away.
